KPD: Missing elderly man with dementia found

KPD said he was found in downtown Knoxville Wednesday morning.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An elderly man with dementia who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon has been located, according to Knoxville Police.

KPD spokesperson Scott Erland confirmed to 10News Wednesday morning that Ervin Miller, 78, was safely located by PBA personnel Wednesday morning in downtown Knoxville.

ORIGINAL STORY 10/22/19 10:30 p.m.:

The Knoxville Police Department is searching for a missing elderly man with dementia last seen in West Knoxville Tuesday afternoon.

According to KPD, 78-year-old Ervin Miller was last seen at West Town Mall around 3:30 p.m. driving a 2017 gray Nissan Rogue with TN tags 037-QHB.

Miller was wearing a tan sweatshirt and gray pants, and had a small dog in the vehicle with him.
