KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (6/4): David Moore, 60, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault for the stabbing in Krutch Park on June 1, the Knoxville Police Department said.
"Moore was identified as the suspect through continued investigation led by KPD Homicide Unit detectives and with the assistance of a tip submitted to East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers," the department said on social media.
According to the post, Moore was located and detained on Tuesday in Krutch Park.
"Moore was positively identified as the suspect by the victim, who remains hospitalized in ICU in stable condition," KPD said.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after officers responded to a reported stabbing at Krutch Park in downtown Knoxville around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a stab wound. The victim said he was stabbed by a bald white man who ran from the area, according to a media release from KPD.
According to KPD, it did not locate any witnesses after searching the area.
KPD said the victim was sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.
