KPD: Body pulled from First Creek believed to be man missing since May

The Knoxville Police Department said foul play is not suspected at this time.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department said it responded to a report of a body in First Creek next to the Office Depot on Broadway around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

KPD said the report came from a group of kayakers, with the Knoxville Fire Department also responding to the scene.

The Department posted on social media on Sunday that the body was believed to be Clayton Carver, who had been missing since May 17.

KPD said foul play is not suspected at this time.

Carver's body was taken to Knox Regional Forensic Center for further investigation.
