KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Football fans may be looking for a way to travel to Oklahoma ahead of the Vols' matchup against the Sooners. If they want to fly directly to the state from Knoxville, they should plan to spend hundreds of dollars.

Kickoff against Oklahoma is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Sept. 21 in Norman. Tickets for a direct American Airlines flight to the state leaving the day before kickoff cost more than $1,100. Tickets for a Delta flight leaving the same day cost around $1,600.

United Airlines also said it plans to offer flights to Oklahoma, but specific information about those flights was not immediately available.

The matchup is expected to be a particularly interesting one for Tennessee Coach Josh Heupel, as Heupel led the Sooners to a national championship during his time as a college quarterback in the 2000 season. He also coached quarterbacks and offense with the Sooners between 2006 and 2014 before he was fired.
