The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating a head-on crash Tuesday night that killed a 32-year-old man in North Knox County.
The victim was identified as Jeremy Easterday of Knoxville.
The woman who collided this afternoon with him is identified as Haley Browning, 20, also of Knoxville, according to the sheriff's office. She was being treated at University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Charges are pending against Browning, according to authorities.
The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. on East Beaver Creek Road near Central Avenue Pike.
Browning was driving a Pontiac Grand Am south on Beaver Creek when the vehicle crossed into the path of Easterday's Mazda, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Easterday wore a seatbelt; Browning did not.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office's Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating.
