Jody Sims is the author and artist behind the book Soul Provider: Conversations with my cat. The Knoxville resident was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. In her book, Jody shares personal stories of her battle along with paintings of her cat's face, to help guide the reader through each stage of healing.
Jody will be the featured speaker at the National Cancer Survivors Day event on Sunday, June 5, 2016. The event is at 2PM at the Historic Southern Railway Station (306 W. Depot Ave.) in Knoxville.
She hopes that this special day can help provide healing for others who are dealing with cancer. Jody says her favorite saying is "Today is a new day and a chance to begin again."
