Two crashes were reported in the Knoxville area Monday afternoon, causing backups on two major roads.
One crash was reported on Pellissippi Parkway, near Tooles Bend Road, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Southbound traffic was backed up at around 2:50 p.m. to near S. Northshore Drive. The crash involved one car and was reported at around 2:25 p.m.
TDOT said another crash was reported on I-40 West near the I-275 interchange, causing westbound traffic to back up to near the Cherry Street exit.
