Knox-Smokies shuttle offers easy day trips to and from downtown Knoxville & Sevier County

The shuttle will travel between the Knoxville Visitors Center and the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, where you can travel by trolley to other destinations

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Want to play tourist in Sevier County but don't want to deal with driving? Or, are you visiting the Smokies and would like to spend a little time in downtown Knoxville but don't want to deal with all the hassle?

Visit Knoxville had the solution for you, with the Knox-Smokies Shuttle!

Perfect for day trips, you can catch the shuttle every Tuesday and Thursday at the Knoxville Visitors Center, located at 301 South Gay Street, at 8:30 a.m. An hour later, you'll be dropped off at the Historic Old Mill in Pigeon Forge.

From there, you can catch the Fun Time Trolley to Dollywood, Tanger Five Oaks Outlets, the Island at Pigeon Forge, Ober Gatlinburg and more.

Tickets cost $40 per person and include your wrist band to ride the trolley all day. Right now, the trip is limited to six people at a time, so you need to reserve your spots early!

The shuttle will pick you back up at 4:00 p.m. at the Old Mill to bring you back to Knoxville.

Visit Knoxville also hopes this will offer visitors to Sevier County an easy way to come visit Knoxville for a day. 

They can catch the trolley at 9:30 a.m. at the Old Mill for the hour-long ride to Knoxville. From there, they can hop on the free Knoxville trolley to visit Market Square, the Old City, UT, World's Fair Park & the Sunsphere, and more.

They'll catch a ride back on the shuttle at 3 p.m. 

Free parking is available on both ends.
