New Knox County leaders to be sworn in on Tuesday following August election

On Tuesday, Knox County will have several new leaders on its county commission and board of education.

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — More than a dozen new Knox County leaders will be sworn in on Tuesday after the August election wrapped up and plenty of new people claimed seats in the county's local government.

Seven commissioners are expected to join the swearing-in ceremony, as well as four school board members. A new property assessor and a new county law director will also be sworn in after the county's August election. The ceremony to swear in the new leaders is set to be held at the Tennessee Theatre on Tuesday morning.
