KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Rural Metro Fire said one of the oldest homes in Knox County caught fire overnight.
Crews responded to the fire in the 1000 block of Lovell Road in West Knox County around 1:15 a.m. When they arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames, according to Rural Metro.
The home was vacant with no power connected. Firefighters found fire throughout the second floor and roof vents, Rural Metro said.
The fire was fought from the outside due to fears of the stability of the home, according to Rural Metro
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
