Regional Health Office to host free emergency preparedness expo at Smokies Stadium in Kodak

Health officials said the free event will include a chance to meet with local emergency response agencies and will have educational booths, live demos and more.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The East Tennessee Regional Health Office is set to host a free event Sept. 7 to help prepare people and their families for emergencies.

The Community Emergency Preparedness Expo is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Smokies Stadium in Kodak.

The Knox County Health Department, a participant, said the free event will include a chance to meet with local emergency response agencies and will have educational booths, live demos and more.

"We'd love to see you there!" KCHD said. 

The department said there would be interactive activities for all ages, also teaching those in attendance life-saving skills such as CPR, how to stop bleeding, basic first aid and even fire safety.
