(KNOX COUNTY, Ky.) UPDATE Feb. 18, 8:45 p.m.: The Knox County Sheriff's Department in Kentucky reports that three people have been arrested in connection with a threat made against the school system on social media.
Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith posted to the department's Facebook page that they would be releasing more details about social media threats involving the Knox County School Public Schools.
The post says that they want to thank the Barbourville Police Department, the Kentucky State Police, and the KCPS system for helping them bring the incident to a peaceful end.
The post goes on to say they take these types of threats very seriously and that the Sheriff's Office does everything possible to keep students and staff safe.

The post says that they are working with the superintendent, school staff and Kentucky State Police to get to the bottom of the issue.
The post goes on to say they take these types of threats very seriously and that the sheriff's department does everything possible to keep students and staff safe. The threats were originally made from Snapchat and shared on Facebook.
