ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — A multi-vehicle wreck temporarily closed I-40 East in Cumberland County, according to TDOT.
TDOT said that one lane opened around 12:45 p.m.
Earlier in the morning, a jack-knifed semi-truck was also blocking lanes on I-40 West near Kingston, TDOT said. Roane County Central Dispatch confirmed that the semi and "several other" vehicles were involved in the wreck. As of 12:30 p.m., TDOT said both lanes were open again near Kingston.
Road conditions are deteriorating. It is important to stay off the roads as we don't expect the snow to stop until Monday night.
