KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On Saturday, Roane State Community College will host an emergency exercise for its students across multiple health science disciplines. The exercise will happen at the Knox County Center for Health Sciences in West Knoxville from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to a release, Roane State students will complete training in various areas while responding to a simulated emergency incident. This includes triaging and treating patients with injuries.
The purpose of the drill is to give students first-hand experience with emergency response, while also providing them an opportunity to work together with students in other specialties just as they would in real life.
Do not be alarmed if you see emergency response vehicles in the area before, during or after the exercise.
