DEKALB COUNTY — A Kentucky man was seriously injured Monday after the officers said he was hit by a pontoon boat's propeller on Center Hill Lake in Middle Tennessee.
According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the 21-year-old man had fallen off the front of the moving rental boat, which was carrying 14 vacationing passengers.
After falling, the TWRA said the boat's propeller hit him. Officers responded shortly after 3 p.m. along with Dekalb County EMS and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The man flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities have not released his identity or current medical status.
The TWRA said the incident is under investigation.
