Knoxville, Tennessee — A local non-profit wants you to "Get Off Your Glass" and recycle this month.
Keep Knoxville Beautiful is hosting a massive recycling, "Get Off Your Glass" that will be held at Bearden Beer Market on Nov. 15.
Knox County residents are not normally allowed to place glass in single-stream recycling bins. The glass must be taken to convenience centers. The upcoming "Get Off Your Glass" event allows members of the community recycle that glass more easily.
The organization partnered with Sierra Nevada Brewing, WestRock, and Cherokee Distributing Company to celebrate America Recycles Day.
"I'm excited to team up with our great partners...to continue building recycling and sustainability awareness in Knoxville," says Russ Torbett, East Tennessee Sales Manager of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.
America Recycles Day also falls on Sierra Nevada's anniversary date, so recyclers will receive a free canned Sierra Nevada beer to-go when they purchase a pint from Bearden Beer Market during the event.
Recycling starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
