Keaton Jones's mom reacts to social media response on bullying post

"Yesterday the world loved us, today the world hates us," Kimberly Jones said in an interview with NBC's TODAY show.

The mother of an East Tennessee boy whose story of being bullied at school has received a flood of social media response said she's been overwhelmed by the positive and negative reactions.

Kimberly Jones posted the video of her 11-year-old son Keaton on Facebook on Friday. The viral video sparked reactions from across the country and around the world.

"Yesterday the world loved us, today the world hates us," Jones said in an interview with NBC's TODAY show.

Kimberly Jones spoke out Tuesday about the video she posted of her son Keaton Jones and the huge response its garnered.

Kimberly Jones said they have been overwhelmed by the wave of reactions over the weekend supporting her son along with those questioning her motives and previous posts.

"It's been overwhelming. I've tried really hard not to feed into anything and just kind of try to do local because I wanted to keep my children grounded. I wanted to find a way to really make a difference and not just be picked up and then thrown down," Kimberly Jones said.

She said this is the moment Keaton has wanted to change the world for the better.

Kimberly Jones spoke out Tuesday about the social media post of her son Keaton Jones sharing his bullying experience.

She did not answer specific questions about other social media posts critics are using to question her motives, actions and character, but she said she is hopeful Keaton's video will spark positive change.
