KCSO investigates dog body found in creek

The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating after deputies found a dog's body in Bull Run Creek.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating after deputies found a dog's body in Bull Run Creek on Sunday, July 29.

Deputies say the dog was an adult female brindle shepherd mix with brown and black fur. Her toenails had recently been trimmed and she was wearing a Seresto flea collar, officials say.

Authorities don't suspect abuse, according to spokeswoman Martha Dooley. They want to find the owner.

Anyone with information about the dog is asked to call KCSO's family Crisis Unit at (865) 215-2243.
