JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Fourth Judicial District Circuit Court Judge O. Duane Slone's funeral has been scheduled.
According to Farrar Funeral Home, Slone's service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at Pathways Church in Sevierville. The family will receive friends before the service from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
He will then be buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Slone was killed after he was hit by a vehicle in Dandridge on Saturday. According to officials, the judge had a flat tire and was walking along Highway 25/70 between Hammer and Spring Creek Roads when a passing vehicle hit him.
Slone had worked in the Fourth District since 1998. In 2009, he co-founded the district's Drug Recovery Court. He also served as chairman of a regional judicial opioid initiative.
