Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office searches for missing woman with medical condition

Amber Nancy Cox, 36, was reported missing after she was last seen walking toward her mailbox around 2 p.m. at 620 Murph Road Sunday.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman who was last seen Sunday.

According to the sheriff's office, Amber Nancy Cox, 36, was reported missing after she was last seen walking toward her mailbox around 2 p.m. from her home on Murph Road Sunday. 

Her family told deputies she has been suicidal. The sheriff's office said Cox also has a seizure disorder and does not have her medication.  

She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with a skull on it and oversized blue jeans. She wears glasses and has a scar on her chest/lower throat. 

Cox has brown eyes, red hair, weighs 200 pounds and is 5'8" tall.
