NEW MARKET, Tenn. — UPDATE (2/8): Jefferson County deputies said crews found a missing woman who was believed to be in danger after a search across New Market on Thursday.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert for Sharon Looney, 71, on Thursday after she disappeared in New Market.
Deputies said she had a medical condition that impaired her ability to return home safely without assistance.
Around 1:40 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter located Looney. The TBI said she was found safe near her New Market home and was able to direct the search team to her location. Looney was taken to a local hospital.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said authorities were searching for a woman reported missing on Wednesday.
According to a post on social media, Sharon Looney was last seen near her New Market home at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, on Horseshoe Bend Road. JCSO said "numerous agencies" were searching for her in the area.
