Jajuan Latham was only 12 years old.
A young boy with a world ahead of him, but his life was cut short in a spray of gunfire Saturday night, as he sat in his father's vehicle at a city park. Police said the shooting was gang-related.
The community is once again mourning a young man lost too soon, just like his cousin, Zaevion Dobson. The 15-year-old was killed by gunfire while shielding his friends.
While police look for the killers, and area leaders are looking for solutions to the growing gang violence in Knoxville, Jajuan's friends are trying to deal with the loss.
Jajuan was a sixth grader at Bearden Middle School.
