KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Interfaith Health Clinic is taking a unique approach to helping its patients — making sure their healthcare needs are met while also taking steps to make sure their overall lives are improved.
Generally, the nonprofit works to make sure people have healthcare access regardless of their income. It also recently announced plans to renovate its space so it could start treating more patients, expanding its services.
Those services also mean making sure patients have support in other aspects of their lives. It can also connect them to educational and housing resources.
"I hope that they are able to take away some long-term resources that they can utilize, that can help them with any sort of obstacles or barriers they have in life, so they can move forward and live the life they deserve," said Jeffrey Crick, a community health worker.
The clinic also offers mental health services, dental services and prescription assistance. People can reach out online for help scheduling an appointment with the clinic.
