KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A woman was rescued Saturday afternoon after falling almost 25 feet into First Creek, according to the Knoxville Fire Department.
The 69-year-old was looking over the edge of the creek from the street level on Bluff Avenue, lost her balance and fell, KFD said.
She was mildly hypothermic when KFD got her out. Officials said she was down in the creek for about an hour.
She was then taken to the University of Tennessee with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
