Newport could become the Tiny Home Capital of the United States, according to the company Incredible Tiny Homes.
The company purchased property on Industrial Road and will relocate from Morristown to Newport as soon as possible.
"Much preparation must be done, starting with construction and infrastructure on the property," Owner and builder Randy Jones wrote in a release.
The company has received national recognition from HGTV and other tiny home shows.
"It is our hope that we make Newport, TN the Tiny Home Capital of the United States!"
A "Tiny Home Community" will be built on the property in hopes of bringing more tourists to visit its campground.
Incredible Tiny Homes says it will also provide monthly workshops where anyone can come into their facility and build their own home in six days.
