The city's Festival on the 4th started at 5 p.m. and will end at 10 p.m. with a fireworks display.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Festival on the 4th returned to World's Fair Park on the Fourth of July, featuring free musical performances, plenty of fun and a fireworks finale!

The fireworks will happen after the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra performs. They will launch from the Henley Bridge at approximately 9:45 p.m.

10News will stream the fireworks on our WBIR App, 10WBIR+ and YouTube channel.

Leading up to the fireworks, the festival started at 5 p.m. on the Festival Lawn stage with a performance by Knox Vegas DJs. After that, performances by other artists were set for the festival lawn and the performance lawn stages, lasting until 7:45 p.m.

Then, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra took over for its 40th annual free concert. That performance started at 8 p.m. in the Tennessee Amphitheatre.

The festival also offered family-friendly fun like water wars, axe-throwing, mini-golf and paddle boats. Vendors also offered snacks and meals, and the event was expected to go on rain or shine.

No pets and no alcohol were allowed. People also cannot bring personal tents or canopies.
