Here's where you can get your car seats checked in Tennessee for National Child Passenger Safety Week

Several departments and organizations across East Tennessee offer free inspections for children's car seats.

TENNESSEE, USA — It is National Child Passenger Safety Week, and East Tennessee deputies and officials want to help you keep your children safe.

According to the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for children aged 1 to 13 in America. This is largely due to the improper use of car seats, boosters and seat belts.

This week, thousands of departments and organizations across the country will offer free car seat inspections and information sessions on child safety, including sites here in East Tennessee.
