FAA investigating helicopter crash in Limestone, Tennessee; minor injuries reported

The Federal Aviation Administration said only the pilot was on board at the time of the crash.

LIMESTONE, Tenn. — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a helicopter crash that happened in Limestone, Tennessee, Wednesday morning.

The FAA said a Robinson R22 helicopter crashed in a field around 11:30 a.m. They also said that only the pilot was on board at the time of the crash. According to the FAA registry, the helicopter is registered to Sevier County Aviation Inc.

The Limestone Volunteer Fire Department said it responded to the crash and minor injuries were reported.
