One man is dead and one is injured after a head-on crash between a pickup truck and a tractor trailer in Greeneville.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred Tuesday at 1:37 p.m. on Newport Highway when Donald Hodge of Johnson City passed out and crossed into eastbound lanes, colliding with a tractor trailer.
Hodge sustained injuries and was taken to Johnson City Medical Center. His passenger, Jerry Morrell, 50, died of injuries on the way to the hospital.
The driver of the tractor trailer, Roger Smith of Sanford, North Carolina, was not hurt.
THP says charges are pending on toxicology reports.
Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt.
