KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Lemon cookie lovers of Sevierville: We've got some bad news. Ham'N Goodys announced Tuesday it will close its Sevierville and Clinton Highway locations at the end of June.
The popular bakery and café said business at the two stores had fallen off so it decided to close them.
"Sadly we are closing our Clinton Highway and Sevierville locations at the end of this month due to lack of business. Thank you to our dear customers and teammates in both of those communities!!" it said.
The Northshore, Gay Street and Cedar Bluff stores will remain open, plus the cookie truck will still be traveling around to locations across East Tennessee -- so not all hope is lost for people needing their lemon cookie fix in Sevierville.
Ham'N Goodys has been a staple of Knoxville since opening on Northshore Drive in the late 1970s.
