Railroad trestle collapses in Newport, causes road closures

NEWPORT, Tenn. — The Newport Police Department said road closures are in place after a railroad trestle collapsed.

River Road at East Broadway, Jimtown Road at East Broadway and Liberty Alley at East Broadway are closed until further notice due to the collapse, according to NPD.
