GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Almost 30 people have been sent to the hospital after multiple anhydrous ammonia leaks at a cheese factory early Wednesday morning, according to a report from WCYB.
Six people were initially hospitalized after the first leak. An additional 23 people were hospitalized following a second leak, WCYB said.
More than 50 other employees are being monitored at this time, officials said.
Officials added the leaks have been secured and there is no danger to the public.
