GREENE COUNTY, Tennessee — Update (11/7): The Greene County Sheriff's Office said forensic teams have identified a body found by hunters last week.
Deputies responded to the West Pines area on Nov. 2 around 5 p.m. Hunters were on the property to put up a deer stand and found the body.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents also responded to the scene.
The body was sent to ETSU’s William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for positive identification and to determine the cause of death.
On Tuesday, GCSO said they positively identified the body as a missing 27-year-old woman from Chesterfield, Virginia named Le'Keyshia Bracy. Her family reported her missing to the Chesterfield County Police Department.
Deputies said they are still investigating how Bracy died but do not suspect foul play at the moment.
