Fire crews worked the house fire in the 1800 block of Layfette Road since 2:07 a.m., according to Riley. He said the house is a total loss and Layfette Road is closed because of the fire and slick roadway.

Due to the frigid temperatures, the Dandridge Fire Department rotated crews to work the fire, according to Riley.
