(WBIR) District attorney general James Dunn confirmed Tuesday his office is investigating allegations of criminal conduct involving the Cocke County Highway Department.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation served search warrants to obtain records and other evidence relevant the investigation.
"Upon completion of the investigation, I will review the file and take appropriate action," said Dunn.
WBIR 10News has contacted the TBI for more information, but at this time, officials aren't releasing additional details.
