GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Greene County Sheriff's Office said deputies found the body of an 80-year-old man Wednesday evening.
In a release, he was identified as James. W. Woods. Authorities said Woods owned the property, and said his body was found in a detached garage on Hartman Lane. Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also responded to calls about the body.
In a release, the sheriff's office said Woods' body was sent to the East Tennessee State University's Jenkins Forensic Center, where it will be examined and a cause of death will be determined.
Additional information, including the circumstances surrounding Woods' death, was not immediately available.
