The Grainger County Sheriff's Office said the swimmer's body was found Thursday morning.

GRAINGER COUNTY, Tenn. — Rescue crews in East Tennessee were searching after a person reportedly went into a lake in Grainger County and was later nowhere to be found.

James Harville, the Grainger County sheriff, said rescue squads from Bean Station, Morristown and Hawkins County were searching the area Wednesday afternoon in search of the person.

He said on Thursday at around 10 a.m., the body of the swimmer was found. He identified the swimmer as Travis Harville and said he was last seen Tuesday in Cherokee Lake near Rocky Springs.

He also said Harville had been swimming with another swimmer when they noticed that Harville was not around. The swimmer then called emergency responder helpers for help, according to the sheriff.
