GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The Greenville Police Department is urging town residents to conserve water in light of the impacts of Hurricane Helene.

According to a post by Greenville Police on Facebook, these conservation efforts require businesses like restaurants and nonessential jobs to be temporarily shut down until pumping equipment can be fixed.

Officials are working with EMA and TEMA to set up water distribution centers. At this time, they do not anticipate any fuel shortages and anticipate all gas stations remaining open.

GPD urges residents to avoid going out if not needed. They ask that all residents do their part to get through these temporary conservation efforts.
