GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. — Several juveniles have been charged with disorderly conduct after an investigation into a video posted on TikTok, the Green County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.
According to the department, in the afternoon of Sept. 17, Bill Carr, a deputy with GCSO and the school resource officer at South Greene Middle School were made aware of a video posted to social media. The video showed several juveniles reenacting what appeared to be a school shooting with the title "to be continued," GCSO said.
The video was posted on TikTok and shared by several others before being taken down from the platform. GCSO said 16 juveniles were charged in connection to the video, all of which attended SGMS.
GCSO said the students would appear in Greene County Juvenile Court at a later time.
