Garlic and Herb Compound Butter

Ingredients:

1.5 tablespoons minced fresh garlic

3/4 cup (1.5 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

2 teaspoons minced shallot

3 teaspoon chopped fresh herbs of choice (one or a mix of multiple)

Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions:

Let butter warm to room temperature. Using a fork, mix all ingredients together until well incorporated. Transfer butter to sheet of plastic wrap. Using plastic wrap as aid, form butter into 1 1/4-inch-diameter log, wrapping plastic tightly around butter. Chill until firm. (Can be made 2 days ahead; keep chilled.) Cut into 1/8 inch-thick rounds.
