Popular televangelist Joel Osteen is in Knoxville to share his message Friday night.
Osteen's will bring his 'Night of Hope' event to Thompson-Boling Arena. His wife and mother, who beat cancer, will also speak to the crowd.
If you can't make it, Osteen said he wants people to take away a simple message of hope.
"Even when times get tough, if you turn to your faith, God can help you make it through. So I'm hoping that people will leave inspired, knowing that there's good days up ahead, and really believing that 2014 will be their best year so far," he said.
Tickets to Friday's event are $15.
Osteen said this is his first trip to East Tennessee. He says he's looking forward to seeing some of the area's natural beauty.
