Free jazz to be held on some Tuesday nights during summer for 'Jazz On the Square'

These completely free concerts are hosted by the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra in Market Square, starting at 7 p.m. on set Tuesdays.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A free jazz concert will take place on Tuesday night in Market Square, hosted by the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. 

The concert will start at 7 p.m. with the Mark Boling Trio set to play. This completely free concert is part of a series set to take place on some Tuesdays during summer.

The following artists will be playing throughout the summer: 

  • Ken Brown Quartet on June 11
  • Vance Thompson Quartet on June 18
  • Larry Vincent Quartet on June 25
  • Matt Nelson Trio on September 3 

"Bring a chair or blanket, or sit on the patio of one of the fine restaurants along the square," the organization said. "Jazz On The Square happens every week in May, June and September, weather permitting."
