The Alex Haley Farm for the Children's Defense Fund in Clinton is hosting its annual "Apple Picking Days" August 23 and 24.
Families can bring their own containers and fruit pickers to collect apples, for free.

The event will be between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday.

Good rain means trees will not be stressed, which, in turn, means they will have fantastic foliage displays come fall.
But, that's not set in stone yet. We'll need to see plenty of sunny, cool days and cool nights moving forward to get those beautiful leaves.
