A former Knox County school security officer and his son are facing charges in connection with the death of their neighbor.

Kevin Lee Waggoner, 42, is accused of shooting his neighbor Michael Adam Woodby back in September. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Waggoner was with his son when they confronted Woodby over an unknown incident.

Thursday, Waggoner was charged with one count of second degree murder. His son, Kolton, was charged with one count of facilitation of second degree murder.

Neighbors said the two families had been quarreling for months over a laundry list of items.

A week before the killing, Kevin Waggoner sent several media outlets, including 10News, a package that had several temporary restraining orders and a video that showed the numerous confrontations between the two parties.

Kevin Waggoner is out of jail after posting a $250,000 bond. Kolton Waggoner is being held in the Union County Jail on $75,000 bond.
