KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knox County Sheriff's Office said a person died Friday following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The sheriff's office said the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead after he was taken to the Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center. According to a release, the crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Parkside Drive near Sherway Road.
Deputies identified the man as Jordan Ball, 20, from Knoxville.
KCSO said no additional injuries were reported in the crash and it was under investigation. They said the vehicles' speed could have been a contributing factor in the crash.
Sherway Road, as well as eastbound and westbound lanes of Parkside Drive, were closed until around 5:30 p.m. Friday as KCSO investigated the crash.
