KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Most law enforcement and emergency management agencies across East Tennessee work to connect with their communities. Through different kinds of platforms, people living in the region can be immediately notified about different emergencies and get up-to-date information.

These can include weather incidents like tornadoes or severe storms, or any other kind of situation local leaders deem a threat to public safety. To receive these notifications, people usually need to sign up ahead of time.
