Several Knox County Schools principals are retiring this year.
Long-time Central High School Principal Michael Reynolds is one of them.
Reynolds began his teaching career at Knoxville Catholic High School and joined the Knox County Schools in 1989 as a social studies teacher at Farragut High School, according to the district's website.
Prior to his appointment as Principal at Farragut, Reynolds served as the Principal at Fulton High School.
Cynthia Bosse is retiring from A. L. Lotts Elementary, Robbie Norman from Brickey-McCloud Elementary, Kim Wilburn-Cullom from Maynard Elementary and Christine Oehler from Powell Middle School.
Melinda Russell has been named principal of AL Lotts. KCS said she had been serving as interim.
Deborah Adorante has been named principal of Farragut Intermediate. She had been serving as interim, as well.
Megan O'Dell has been named principal of Brickey-McCloud Elementary. KCS says she is currently principal at Shannondale Elementary.
The Dogwood Elementary assistant principal, Christopher Deal, has been named as the new principal at Lonsdale Elementary. He will begin his new role July 1.
