Lenior City:
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City will commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in a dramatic presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.
St. Thomas the Apostle is located at 1580 St. Thomas Way.
Knoxville:
All Saints Catholic Church Hispanic Community will stage a live stations of the grounds on the parish grounds at 1 p.m. Bilingual booklets will be available. This reenactment of the final hours of the life of Jesus is dramatically portrayed by parish members dressed in period costumes. The reenactment lasts about one hour and fifteen minutes and is visible from Cedar Bluff Road.
All Saints is located at 620 N. Cedar Bluff Road in Knoxville.
The Downtown Ministry Cooperative Presents: Stations of the Cross-A Good Friday reenactment of Jesus' Crucifixion.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. in Market Square and progressing to other nearby downtown areas, each of the seven stations will depict biblical moments surrounding Christ's crucifixion. The community is welcome and encouraged to participate through reflection and prayer.
Knoxville:
The Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum, 2743 Wimpole Ave., will host their Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m.. All churches are welcome, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. An offering will be collected to benefit the Community Garden.
Maryville College will observe Easter with their annual sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. on Lloyd Beach (behind Lloyd Hall on the southeastern end of campus).
