KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Young patients at a Knoxville hospital are getting a head start on Halloween with arts and crafts as well as free Halloween costumes for the kids.
The East Tennessee Children's Hospital partnered with Spirit Halloween to host its annual Halloween party. Since 2010, the hospital and the well-known store have raised around $500,000 for the Child Life Department.
The hospital posted to social media, saying it loved Spirit of Children and its mission to make the hospital less scary for patients and families throughout the year.
"With the help of monetary donations from 10-for-10 coupons used at the Spirit Halloween stores, Spirit of Children provides resources for the Child Life Department year-round," the hospital said.
