ID=19515361ID=70082724A house fire in east Knoxville Monday night killed a 23-month-old boy and sent three others, including two kids, to the hospital.

At about 11:45 p.m., firefighters arrived at the house on Skyline Drive and saw flames shooting from the roof and windows. Crews were informed that a child was still inside the house. Firefighters tried to enter the house to save 23-month-old Eli Blaze Dellinger, but the fire was too powerful, according to a Knoxville Fire Department release.

More than an hour later, firefighters discovered the 23-month-old's body near the back of the home.

Officials said a total of three kids and three adults were inside the home when the fire started.

Crews took a 4-year-old, 5-year-old and a woman to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The Knoxville Fire Department said all three are expected to be okay.

Firefighters are still on the scene this morning to make sure that hot spots don't spark another fire.

Authorities said they still don't know what caused the fire.
